Anyone completed a purchase through TwoTraderAuctions?

I keep seeing TwoTraderAuctions pop up when searching for older cars and repos. Has anyone here actually completed the whole process, from bidding to delivery? Not looking for ads, just real owner feedback.

I bought through them once, a 72 Nova project. The site part was simple. The longest part was waiting for paperwork after payment, but it was not crazy.

Same here. I did not buy a show car, just a driver. The listing photos were fair and the car had the small scratches shown in the report.

Main thing is read the listing twice and ask before bidding. People get in trouble when they assume transport, title, and taxes are all automatic everywhere.

Was the delivery handled by them or a separate carrier?
OldNovaMemberJoined: Jul 2020Posts: 342
#6 Today 09:44 AM
Separate carrier, but arranged through their side. Driver called the day before and again when he was about an hour out.

Good to know. I mostly wanted to hear if payment and title were normal.

For me yes. Not Amazon-fast, but normal auction-speed. Keep screenshots, save emails, and do not rush the wire until everything matches.
Delivery arrived 3 days late, anyone else?

My car showed up 3 days later than the first delivery estimate. Not the end of the world, but I had taken time off work and it was annoying.

Was that on TwoTraderAuctions or the transport company?
RoadRunnerMemberJoined: Jan 2021Posts: 219
#3 Today 08:28 AM
Mostly the carrier. They said weather and another pickup delay pushed the route back.

That happens with open transport. I always treat the first date as an estimate, not a promise.
MasonRMemberJoined: Apr 2021Posts: 173
#5 Today 09:03 AM
Did they at least keep you updated?
RoadRunnerMemberJoined: Jan 2021Posts: 219
#6 Today 09:19 AM
Yes, that part was fine. The driver answered and the office sent updates. I just wish they gave a wider window from the start.

Fair complaint. Three days late is not terrible, but communication is what matters.
RoadRunnerMemberJoined: Jan 2021Posts: 219

Agreed. Car arrived fine, no damage. I would still use them again, just would not schedule my week around the first ETA.
Wire transfer confirmation time

For anyone who paid by wire, how long did confirmation take? My bank says it was sent this morning.
SteveGTORegistered UserJoined: Feb 2023Posts: 55
#2 Yesterday 06:25 PM
Mine was confirmed same day, but late afternoon.
C10ChrisRegistered UserJoined: Jun 2024Posts: 31

Mine took until next morning. Bank cut-off times matter.

Always ask your bank for the federal reference number. Makes it easier if support has to trace it.
V8TomRegistered UserJoined: Nov 2022Posts: 88
#5 Yesterday 07:37 PM
Good tip, I did not ask for that.

Any update?

Confirmed this morning. Looks like it was just after the cut-off yesterday.
Inspection report accuracy?

How accurate are the inspection reports on TwoTraderAuctions? Looking at a Chevelle and the photos look good, maybe too good.
ShelbyGTMemberJoined: Dec 2019Posts: 498
#2 Yesterday 12:19 PM
Mine was accurate. It noted weak paint on the rear quarter and that was exactly what I saw when it arrived.
BillTSenior MemberJoined: Oct 2012Posts: 4,902
#3 Yesterday 12:44 PM
Reports are useful, but they are not a full restoration inspection. They tell condition, not every future repair.
OldNovaMemberJoined: Jul 2020Posts: 342
#4 Yesterday 01:03 PM
Agree. My car needed a carb adjustment that was not in the report, but that is old car stuff.
MasonRMemberJoined: Apr 2021Posts: 173

Do they show underside photos?
69ChevelleSenior MemberJoined: May 2016Posts: 2,031

On the one I am watching, yes. Frame looks clean but I wanted another set of eyes.

Post the link in the Chevelle section. Guys here will spot things fast.

First time bidding this weekend

Thinking about bidding on TwoTraderAuctions this weekend. First time using them. Anything I should know before I click bid?
BillTSenior MemberJoined: Oct 2012Posts: 4,902

Set your max number before the auction gets hot. Do not chase emotion.
Mike87Senior MemberJoined: Mar 2018Posts: 1,284
#3 Yesterday 09:05 AM
Check transport cost before bidding. A good deal can look less good after shipping.
ShelbyGTMemberJoined: Dec 2019Posts: 498
#4 Yesterday 09:28 AM
Read the payment deadline too. Some people miss that and panic after winning.
C10ChrisRegistered UserJoined: Jun 2024Posts: 31

Can you inspect in person before bidding?
ClassicJoeSenior MemberJoined: Sep 2014Posts: 3,410
#6 Yesterday 10:15 AM
Sometimes depends on location and listing. Message support before the last day, not 20 minutes before ending.
OldNovaMemberJoined: Jul 2020Posts: 342
#7 Yesterday 10:37 AM
Good point. I already asked for a transport quote.
MasonRMemberJoined: Apr 2021Posts: 173

Watch the last few minutes. People sit quiet then jump in.

Thanks guys. I will update if I win.
Bought a truck instead of a classic car

Anyone else buy a truck there? Most posts I see are muscle cars, but I grabbed an F-250.

What year?
DieselFanMemberJoined: Aug 2019Posts: 604

2017 diesel. Not perfect, but clean for work use.
Mike87Senior MemberJoined: Mar 2018Posts: 1,284
#4 Yesterday 03:12 PM
Did it come from a dealer or repossession lot?
DieselFanMemberJoined: Aug 2019Posts: 604

Bank repo lot according to the documents.
BillTSenior MemberJoined: Oct 2012Posts: 4,902

That is where photos and inspection matter most. Work trucks can hide abuse.
DieselFanMemberJoined: Aug 2019Posts: 604

Exactly. I checked the underbody photos hard before bidding.

Won my first auction and now I am waiting on title transfer instructions. How long did yours take?
ClassicJoeSenior MemberJoined: Sep 2014Posts: 3,410

Mine came after payment cleared. I think two business days.
ShelbyGTMemberJoined: Dec 2019Posts: 498

Same. They emailed forms first, then mailed title docs.
SteveGTORegistered UserJoined: Feb 2023Posts: 55

Did you have to notarize anything?
BillTSenior MemberJoined: Oct 2012Posts: 4,902

Depends on state. Do not guess, ask them and your local DMV.

My state was picky about mileage disclosure.

Sounds normal. Keep all receipts.
Would you buy again from TwoTraderAuctions?

For people who already bought, would you buy again from TwoTraderAuctions or was it a one-time thing?
Mike87Senior MemberJoined: Mar 2018Posts: 1,284

I would, but only after doing my own homework. Same as any auction.
RoadRunnerMemberJoined: Jan 2021Posts: 219

Yes, even with my delivery delay. The car was as described.
69ChevelleSenior MemberJoined: May 2016Posts: 2,031

I have not bought yet, but the listings are easier to read than some salvage sites.
DieselFanMemberJoined: Aug 2019Posts: 604

I would buy again for the right truck. I would not overbid just because photos look clean.

Auctions are not retail shopping. If people understand that, they usually have fewer surprises.

That is probably the best summary.
